NVIDIA CEO Talks Up 'Incredible' Nintendo Switch - “In a recent earnings call, Nvidia President and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang was asked about the company's growth in its gaming division. While the company's extensive business in PC GPUs is a major factor, the Switch partnership was also highlighted as a key area. In his remarks the executive explained that the partnership for Switch had been in place for nearly two years, and he talked up Nintendo's next-gen hardware.” (See also: How The Nintendo Switch Could Be Attractive.) He also said that porting games to the console should be “simple”.
Niantic hopes Pokemon Go can emulate World of Warcraft's longevity - “...in a recent interview with Eurogamer, Niantic's chief marketing officer Mike Quigley spoke about his World of Warcraft-sized ambitions for the game now the player-count has leveled off. For Quiqley, comparing Pokemon Go to other mobile games is an exercise in futility. Niantic's baby, he explains, is "more of an MMO than anything else." It has two week client sprints, two week server-side sprints, and bi-weekly content patches and bug fixes..."I think our lifespan and curve may be quite different from a free-to-play mobile game -- it may be more in a World of Warcraft vein just because of the type of game we are," says Quigley.”
